Zendaya Sets The Record Straight on Tom Holland Engagement Rumors

Actress Zendaya has long been in a relationship with her former “Spiderman” costar Tom Holland. Their relationship has captured the hearts of fans far and wide, with many eagerly awaiting when Holland will pop the question.

After the actress shared a photo of herself wearing a pearl ring, some jumped to conclusions and assumed it was an engagement ring. Zendaya then shared a humorous video response explaining that she intended to show off her hat in the photo, and that she would be sure to properly share engagement news if it were to happen anytime soon.

Despite the lack of engagement news, fans were quick to voice their support for the celebrity couple regardless.

Elsewhere, some joked that this was the actress’ way of dropping hints to Holland to propose.

The Tom And Zendaya Story

The couple co-starred in the most recent iteration of “Spiderman” films, beginning with “Spiderman: Homecoming” in 2017. After remaining friends over the years, the couple officially confirmed their relationship in 2021, a year after the actress allegedly broke things off with “Euphoria” costar Jacob Elordi. The couple have since shared heartfelt glimpses into their relationship, and won over the internet in the process.

While fans continue to root for the high profile couple, some remind people that it is truly up to them about their marriage timeline, and that perhaps they want to keep it private.

Some pointed out the series of high profile divorces taking place in 2023, and argued that it was probably best that the pair wait to become engaged so as to evade the alleged relationship curse. Tom Holland is yet to comment on the engagement rumors at this time, but has previously spoken on his commitment to Zendaya and relationships in general.

The couple continue to enjoy their time off together between projects.

Several of Zendaya’s films, including “Challengers”, have had delayed release times amid the SAG-AFTRA and WGA joint strike. Holland’s most recent project, “The Crowded Room”, dropped on Apple TV+ this summer. It is unclear when the couple of actors could collaborate next, but they continue to make names for themselves in the industry, and restore the internet’s faith in love.
