Zayn Malik Addresses Altercation with Yolanda and Gigi Hadid In ‘Call Her Daddy’ Podcast

Zayn Malik is sharing more than ever on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper. The singer finally addressed his alleged fight with Yolanda Hadid after he pleaded no contest to harassment charges.

Over the years, there have been rumors on what really happened when claims came up that he shoved ex-partner Gigi Hadid’s mom during one explosive argument.

The “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and former One Direction band member discussed everything from co-parenting with ex Gigi Hadid to even a decision to leave One Direction back in 2015 and embark on a solo career.

And although the star has taken time away from the spotlight, Zayn noted he’s facing a new direction in life.

He stated, “They’re going to see me a lot more. And I want them to know that across the board I’ve kind of had a full mental re-haul and in the best way.”

Zayn and model Gigi Hadid, who share 2-year old daughter Khai broke up in late 2021 amid reports he’d gotten into an argument with mother Yolanda Hadid in a Pennsylvania home the two shared. According to the police report obtained by What’s Trending, Zayn was accused with “intent to harass, annoy or alarm” Gigi and Yolanda.

At the time, Zayn denied the accusations and issued a statement in part that he remained vigilant in protecting her daughter by giving her “the privacy she deserves” for family issues.

But now Zayn has opened up on the matter. The former One Direction heartthrob stressed that if the altercation were as bad as people were making it out to be, he wouldn’t have 50 percent custody of his little girl.

“I’m super full on, hands-on with my child every chance I can be,” he said, adding, “If I could get 60 percent [custody], I would have it.”

Court documents claimed that Malik “grabbed and shoved [Yolanda] into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain.” The singer denied making any physical contact as well. The singer allegedly got into a fight with a security guard who was present too.

Pleading no contest, the singer was ordered to 90 days of probation for each count, whopping up to a total of 360 days. The star also had to complete an anger management class and domestic violence supervision program. He was also ordered to stay away from Yolanda and the security the guard.
