Festival season is upon us, and although this is usually an exciting time filled with laughter, surrounded by friends and loved ones, this isn’t always the case, as evidenced by the deaths of two people, age 18 and 20, at the Mutiny Music Festival in Portsmouth, UK due to a drug overdose.
The festival issued a warning early Saturday, which was posted to their Twitter.

The message was not posted until after the incident occurred, and 18-year-old Georgia Jones and an unnamed male were 2 of the 15 people admitted to a hospital that had fallen ill after taking drugs.
Both people sadly passed away later that day at Queen Alexandra hospital where one more person is still in a critical condition.
Due to the incident, the festival and other artists that were scheduled to perform over the weekend paid their respects to the family and friends of those who lost their lives.
My heart goes out to the family and friends of the two young people who lost their lives at @MutinyFestivals yesterday.

The event managers of Mutiny decided to cancel the remainder of the festival and urged other festival goers to dispose of any substances responsibly.
