Trump Thinks You Need An ID To Buy Groceries

Trump thinks I need to show my ID when buying chips and guac? If he can make it a rule that sweatpants need pockets, then maybe I’ll be on board…

President @realDonaldTrump says you need ID to buy groceries in the USA.

President Donald Trump is back at it again with the white vans…no wait different story, Trump is back again with another ridiculous speech, that isn’t really important and doesn’t solve any of the lasting issues that are going on in America right now. At Trump’s latest rally in Tampa, Florida, he said that he insists that Americans now need to bring a form of identification out with them if they want to go shopping. Which they don’t. It’s obvious that you need ID if you want buy alcohol, due to age restrictions, but needing ID to buy chips and guac to satisfy my late-night cravings is a bit ridiculous. Sounds like the president hasn’t lived a real life in eons.

The President thinks that the US needs tougher ID checks on voters, saying, “you go out, and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture”, followed by his famous campaign quote, “Make America Great Again.” It’s getting a bit old now, Donald, you’re not making America great in any way and there are bigger issues that need resolving, rather than making people show their ID unnecessarily. Anyway, enough of the rage, but I’m not the only one feeling this way.

People all over Twitter have tweeted about how out of touch Trump has become—

Dear MAGA idiots,

Donald Trump is so out of touch that he thinks you need to show ID to buy groceries.

But since you believe everything he says…

Next time you’re at Walmart buying your dinner of Funyuns and Mountain Dew do not forget your ID or you are going to starve!!

Donald Trump thinks you need a photo ID to buy food. Think about that for a second. He really said that. I guess we know he's never ever shopped for his own food. Yep, he's a populist alright. LOL

I have a story that Donald Trump will find amazing. I went to Whole Foods without my ID and came home with 10 bags of groceries. The end. #groceryID pic.twitter.com/FYSoMXOjJ0

Although, there weren’t very many tweets supporting him, so I think it’s safe to say that Trump has lost his mind with this, and once again proved that he is so far up the hierarchy scale, that he doesn’t really know how the day in the life of an average American works.

A little bit of humor from Twitter can go a long way and can even lighten the mood around the most unbelievable situation.

Where can I get the grocery ID? Is this a federal law? Do I need to use my grocery ID at say, a farmers market? @realDonaldTrump one last question do you ever get embarrassed by how foolish you sound?#groceryID #MyPresident #soFoolish

And of course, The Simpsons, who have once again predicted the future so perfectly, that we’re starting to think that they really are time travellers…
