Fall or as some people like to call it “spooky season” is one of our favorite times of the year. The leaves start changing colors, it starts getting colder and there’s pumpkin spice flavored things everywhere, but one of our most favorite parts of the season is Halloween. There’s so many fun things to do to celebrate the Halloween season. Here we have our top 5 picks of what you and your friends should check out this Halloween season.

1. Universal Halloween Horror Nights.

Halloween Horror Nights is one of the most intense, thrilling events to happen during the Halloween season. Not only do they have it in Los Angeles, CA, but they also have it over in Orlando, Fl at Universal Studios Orlando and Japan. The studio that began the monster genre makes your worst nightmares come to life with their terrifying mazes and creepy encounters with clowns, monsters, and zombies. This year Horror Nights has 10 chilling mazes including Jordan Peele’s Us, Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, Universal Monsters: Frankenstein meets the Wolfman, Holidayz in Hell, The Walking Dead, Killer Klowns, Creepshow, House of 1,000 Corpses, and Pandora’s Box. 2. Oogie Boogie’s Halloween Bash

If you’re looking for a more family friendly Halloween event then check out Oogie Boogie’s Halloween bash at Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. During this event guests can dress up in their Halloween costumes and walk around the parks to collect candy from their favorite Disney villains. Disney also offers a spooktacular firework show for guest who attend.

3. Salem

You’ve probably heard of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Well every year Salem, Massachusetts holds a month long festival called Haunted Happenings. There are activities for children and adults, parades, and even learning seminars so you can learn all about the infamous witch trials.

4. Dark Harbor at The Queen Mary

Dark Harbor offers thrilling mazes to guests in Long Beach, California. What makes the event 10x scarier is that the Queen Mary is actually a haunted ship. Would you dare to get on a boat that is haunted?

5. Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow, NY is famous for the Headless Horseman story. If you like haunted places and American literature this is definitely a place that you need to go to. There is a haunted hayride and even a town tour where you can visit the cemetery on select nights. Who knows you just might see a headless horseman roaming around.
