Todd Chrisley Under Fire for ‘Racist’ Comments And Voicemails To Former Daughter-In-Law
Disgraced reality star Todd Chrisley apparently lashed out at his son Kyle’s ex-wife, Alexus Whilby, with threatening voicemail messages and even racist tweets in the 2010s. Obtained by DailyMail.com, Chrisley allegedly left several threatening voicemails in 2017 which he can be heard accusing Alexus Whilby of lying on having a $100 million dollar trust fund.
In the conversation, Chrisley stated he was going to get part of the lump sum after he discovered that she aided the Georgia Department of Revenue in its investigation into his tax fraud scheme he is currently serving behind bars for.
Todd Chrisley Voicemail Messages
In one voicemail, Chrisley can be heard saying ‘I have an email Alexus where you are sending an email to Katie (from Georgia Department of Revenue) telling her that had you known that they would not protect you and your other partners in crime that you would have never done this – and that you need protection.’
He continued in another conversation stating ‘No darling, you don’t need protection, you need an attorney. Call your brothers and find out about that fake trust that you got that has that $100 million dollars in it because I am coming to get a part of it.’
Todd Chrisley said he was also suing Alexus Whilby to ‘force her to do the right things and acknowledge what she’s done.’ Todd even went after Alexus claiming her lawyers were unresponsive during her divorce with Kyle Chrisley saying, ‘normally when people don’t respond to you it is because they haven’t paid their attorneys.’
Back in 2018, Alexus divorced Kyle, who was arrested for aggravated assault in March of 2023, who has yet to speak on these new allegations.
Whilby claims that she believes the Chrisley Knows Best star’s 12-year prison sentence is ‘karma’ for his past behavior toward her.
‘I endured the bullying comments for years in silence, but Karma dealt with it so that I didn’t have to,’ she said.
Deleted Instagram Posts From Fake Accounts
Back in 2014, Todd Chrisley told fans on Twitter in a now deleted post “Folks. Alexus Whilby tried to extort our family for $20k or tell the press that we are racist.” He later added ‘We chose to keep the $20k and see her in court.’
Alexis told DailyMail.com that the so-called ‘extortion’ never happened and there was no lawsuit. She claims she tried to help financially support Kyle who was estranged from Todd at the time.
Whilby also claims that Chrisley spread hateful tweets from fake accounts. In addition, Alexus says Chrisley went out of her way to create problems for her and Kyle throughout their marriage.
The Confession to the Department of Revenue
In return, Alexus Chrisley confesses that she and former husband Kyle Chrisley had a Skype call with the Department of Revenue.’ During the call, Kyle told the authorities that Todd had ‘offshore accounts’ that he used to hide money in so that he could avoid paying taxes on it.
One month later, in March 2017, Alexus told the DOR that ‘Chrisley’s had a warehouse in Georgia filled with seven houses worth of furniture that they were planning to auction off to get an IRS lien removed from one of their properties.’
That same year, Kyle Chrisley said in a Facebook post that it was his sister Lindsie Chrisley – whose mother Teresa Terry was married to from 1990 until 1997 – was to blame for his parents’ conviction by turning them in.
Reflecting back on the situation, Alexus tells DailyMail.com, ‘Kyle changed his story in efforts to help his dad. That didn’t work out for him as usual. He wants so badly to be accepted by his father but lying is not the way to do that.’
Todd tried pressuring Alexus to testify for him on his behalf in the case against DOR, but Alexus refused. As Todd was pressuring Alexus to testify on his behalf, she filed for divorce from Kyle Chrisley.
Alexus stated, ‘During the divorce, I was the one who paid Kyle out. I provided him with a car free and clear all the while having two ongoing legal cases against me from the Chrisley family.’
