TikToker Finds Creepy Hidden Room Behind Her Bathroom Mirror

A resident of a New York City apartment has officially creeped out the internet. TikTok user @samanthartsoe discovered a bone chilling feature in her NYC apartment that she didn’t sign up for. In a 4 part series on her account, she unveils that she had found a secret abandoned room behind her bathroom mirror.

Hartsoe begins the story by saying that she started to gain suspicion when her apartment would stay cold no matter how high she raised the heat. “So I walk into the bathroom and I feel cold air blowing on me,” she explained. If she stood by the doorway her hair would blow because the cold wind was that strong. Out of process of elimination she discovers that the wind is coming from her bathroom mirror. She also finds out that the mirror moves.

Taking the mirror off her wall in part 2, Hartsoe reveals a hallway leading to another room, obviously unfinished and abandoned.

“The weirdest part about this is they didn’t fill it on either side of this hole,” a friend pointed out.

Worries circulated that someone could be living in the secret room, but Hartsoe was determined to go in despite a friend saying she shouldn’t. “I have to go in and figure out what is on the other side of my bathroom,” she said determined.

With millions of views on her first two videos, it’s safe to say people were invested. Many viewers compared the situation to the infamous 1992 film Candyman.

With a flashlight in one hand and a hammer for self defense in the other, Hartsoe entered the unknown room in the final part of the TikTok series.

As she entered the room, a “whole other apartment” is discovered. The apartment is completely unfinished with disconnected appliances in it. She also finds trash bags and a used water bottle to be the “only sign of life” in the apartment. She goes straight to the door and locks it to prevent anyone from entering.

Hartsoe eventually came back to her own apartment and exclaimed that she “made it out alive.” She ended the video by jokingly saying that her “landlord’s getting a really fun phone call tomorrow.”
