Shakira Laughs at Tom Cruise Relationship Rumors And Has ‘No Interest in Dating’

Shakira has not interest in dating Tom Cruise, according to an insider on the relationship after the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

An insider recently told US Weekly that the pair are not pursuing a relationship.

“Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him,” the source says of the “She Wolf” songstress, 46. “He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now.”

The “Loca” singer and 60-year-old Top Gun: Maverick actor were spotted together at the event on May 7th together, which sent a frenzy on social media. Tom Cruise posed with Shakira at the racetrack, but the photo op was just a mere coincidence.

“Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her — and how fans are chiming in with their opinions — but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true,” the source explains. “She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone.”

Last year, the singer announced her split from Gerard Piqué after nearly twelve years together.

“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” the Colombia native and the soccer star, 36, said in a joint statement in June 2022. “For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy.”

The couple, who share children Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8 – made headlines after reports surfaced that Shakira caught the athlete cheating on her.

Piqué is now publicly dating Clara Chia, to whom he was first linked to back in August of 2022.

After photos of the couple surfaced online, Shakira was reportedly heartbroken that her former husband had moved on so quickly.

Shakira went on to mention her difficult year at the Billboard Women in Latin Music Awards.

The singer was honored with the first ever Woman of the Year award presented by fellow artist Maluma. Shakira delivered an emotional speech letting fans in on how she’s been holding up over the last year.

“This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I’ve felt more than ever and very personally what it is to be a women. And what it means,” Shakira shared at the event.

The singer went on in her speech with numerous references to her split and cheating allegations from Piqué. Shakira stated, “It’s been a year where I’ve realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be.”

The singer went on to say, “Because what woman hasn’t at some time in her life forgotten herself because she’s seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me, more than once.”

Back in April, Shakira announced that she would be saying goodbye to Barcelona, Spain and potentially moving to Miami with her children. The singer lived in the country with both Sasha and Milan for over a decade.
