How the Meme of Trisha Paytas’ Baby Being the Queen Reincarnated Spread

It’s been an interesting week for Youtuber and internet figure Trisha Paytas. As they come to the end of their pregnancy, worldwide news hits that the Queen of England has passed. So naturally, the internet is flooded with memes about the Queen being reincarnated as Paytas’ baby. How did this happen?

On September 8th, Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96. Simultaneously, Paytas tweets that they are 1 cm dilated. Soon dozen of tweets that Paytas’ baby is the reincarnation of the Queen flooded Twitter. So much so that the next day Paytas made a video addressing the meme.

Paytas first corrected that they were still pregnant and had not named their daughter Elizabeth. There was no reincarnation happening.

“Yesterday on the internet, I, for some reason, was trending,” Paytas said. “And I was so scared because I’ve been trying to stay out of drama and everything, and I realized the ultimate internet troll got trolled. And not in a good way. This was attention I did not want.”

They also wrote on Instagram, “The internet is a weird place. I don’t know how any of those rumors started or why?” This is where TikTok user @jacobloagann comes in.

Back in March, he posted a video joking about the Queen dying and being reincarnated. The video grew to over 200k views after the Queen’s actual passing. What a prediction!

When Paytas reacted to the meme, @jacoblogann responded with how he egged on and slightly orchestrated the joke even further. He tweeted from a spam account that Paytas had given birth and named the baby Elizabeth. He then reacted to said tweet on his TikTok further misinforming everyone.

“I worked really hard to cause this drama, so I deserve the credit,” said @jacoblogann when a commenter did not believe he orchestrated the meme.
