Riders Film Themselves Stuck 235 Feet In The Air After London’s Tallest Rollercoaster Breaks down

Typically, people ride rollercoasters at theme parks for an adrenaline rush. However, this time around the passengers received a bit more than what they expected. On Sunday morning riders of the U.K.’s tallest rollercoaster, The Big One, came to an unexpected stop as the rollercoaster stalled near its peak, leaving all its riders at 235 feet in the air.

In a now viral TikTok video, a passenger filmed her experience as they waited for help.

The video first shows the women who is filming as she pans behind her to show the other passengers on the ride. The riders seem abnormally calm and quiet despite the situation.

“How is everyone so quiet. I would be SCREAMING,” a user on TikTok commented.

“How are y’all not PANICKING,” another questioned.

In a second posted video, we first see the frightening view of the theme park underneath the riders as they slowly walk down the emergency stairs to safely get to the ground.

“That’s more scary than the ride,” a commenter wrote.

“I just know I would forget how to walk in that moment,” another added.

According to a post on the theme park’s Facebook page, all guests were completely safe at all times.

The theme parks website describes The Big One as the “biggest, fastest, and scariest coaster.” When the attraction first opened in 1994, it was the tallest rollercoaster in the world.
