Recording Academy Announces Bad Bunny, Lizzo, and More to Perform with The Internet Predicting Who Will Take Home Wins
The Recording Academy announced this Sunday’s Grammy Awards presenters and performers, and fans everywhere are starting to make predictions on who could win what. The list of performers includes Bad Bunny, Lizzo, and Mary J. Blige, all of whom are also nominated for several awards themselves. Bad Bunny makes history as one of the first artists with an entirely Spanish-language album to be nominated for album of the year. Un Verano Sin Ti could very well become the first non English album to win in the category.
Bad Bunny rose to new heights of fame in the mainland U.S. this year with Un Verano Sin Ti. His infectious reggaeton permeated clubs and coastal cities all summer 2022, and so did his activism. His native Puerto Rico was hit with category one Hurricane Fiona, and he used his newfound platform to spread awareness and resources for those impacted by the intense flooding and damage.
The list of presenters includes Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, James Corden, Madonna, Viola Davis, and several other acclaimed actors and musicians. The announcement also surprisingly includes First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.Dr. Biden is reportedly scheduled for several important events in California this weekend.
. @FLOTUS today left for a 3-day CA swing that starts in San Diego with military families and the Cancer Moonshot initiative and ends with her presenting an award at the #GRAMMYs on Sunday in LA.

Immediately, the internet ran wild. Some theorize the artist will be Madonna, who recently announced her return to touring. Others suspect Taylor Swift, who is yet to perform any of her latest album, Midnights, on television yet. Swift is also known for using award shows to make major music announcements, as was the case with the 2022 People’s Choice Awards and Midnights.
The Beyhive thinks it just might be their queen Beyonce herself, who could also make history this year as the most decorated musician in Grammys history. She is already the most decorated woman, with 28 awards over the course of her career.
beyoncé will very likely break the record for most grammys won this sunday. ahead of that, i ranked every one of her grammy wins so far — not an easy task! https://t.co/a8W8wz1cZF

Several Grammy voters anonymously revealed to Variety who they voted for yesterday, and they did not hold back. Fans of some artists mentioned felt disheartened by the lack of regard for the songwriting process that some of the voters expressed.
this is so rude and unprofessional… it’s so clear 90% of the grammys voters don’t even know the meaning of soty and how it’s mostly based on songwriting, i don’t expect anything from this year’s grammys tbh pic.twitter.com/duhkvmvRe3

Beyoncé, while one of the most decorated performers of all time at the Grammys, typically wins within the pop and R&B categories. Her latest release, Renaissance, is nominated primarily under the dance and electronic categories. Some point to the voters not understanding her versatility and putting her in the same genre box over the course of her career.
