Producer Sebastian Bear-McClard Accused of Sexual Misconduct By Three Women

Sebastian Bear-McClard, the producer behind the films “Uncut Gems”, “Good Time” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies”, has been accused of sexual misconduct from three different women. McClard was married to model and actress Emily Ratajkowski from 2018-2022, and the former couple share a two-year-old son, Sylvester Apollo Bear. The pair are currently in the middle of a custody battle over their son as their divorce proceedings continue. Rumors initially circulated that McClard cheated on Ratajkowski during their relationship, and the new allegations that have surfaced could support this theory.

In addition to separating from Ratajkowski in 2022, McClard was also fired from his position at Elara Pictures, where he was working alongside the Safdie brothers. The Safdies confirmed that they terminated McClard in the summer of 2022. A spokeswoman for the Safdies elaborated to Variety that “the Elara team were made aware of Sebastian McClard’s behavior in July 2022. They took immediate action and terminated him.”

The women who accuse McClard of misconduct remain unnamed, but all three were teenagers at the time of their respective assaults. Two of the young women allege on-set misconduct that occurred during the New York City filming of “Uncut Gems” and “Good Time,” with one of the young women, who was 17 at the time and is now 24, recounted filming a disturbing nude scene without prior notice, and without an intimacy coordinator present on set.

A second woman, who was 18 during the filming of “Uncut Gems”, additionally recounted McClard’s antisemitic remarks towards her during their intimate relationship. This woman accused McClard of grooming her, and assaulting her in the apartment he shared with Ratajkowski at the time, soon after the couple was married.

Following her separation from McClard, Ratajkowski entered the podcast field, hosting “High Low with EmRata”, where she frequently discusses the importance of supporting women and calling out men for their toxic behaviors. She is most recently rumored to be in a relationship with Grammy-winning musician Harry Styles.

Some feel that her recent comments could have foreshadowed the public release of the allegations. She recently spoke to Eileen Kelly for her “Going Mental” podcast about the negative impact that her marriage had on her mental health, advising listeners to stay away from men who exhibit behaviors that disrespect women.

Ratajkowski is yet to comment on McClard’s misconduct allegations. Neither has A24, the popular indie production company that has produced Oscar Best Picture winners “Everything Everywhere All At Once” and “Moonlight.” McClard worked with the studio on “Uncut Gems.”
