There was concern over the health of democratic nominee, Joe Biden after the Presidental debate on Tuesday, but both Joe Biden and Jil Biden have tested negative for COVID-19

Maybe you should have worn a mask

— Joanna Says Ron DeSantis Will NEVER be president (@Joanna_Resists) October 2, 2020

I just can’t be sad. 200,000 Americans have died and he hasn’t shed one tear. That’s 67 9/11’s. He hasn’t had a vigil, said a name or even been humble. “I don’t care do you?”

— Keller Keller (@HELLERJEEP) October 2, 2020

Don’t worry Donald, it’s like you said a few weeks ago, have a few days on the Bleach and you’ll be back better than ever. Don’t forget to take it now good luck

that’s what you get for not wanting to wear a mask, mocking other people for not wearing a mask, and for not calling a state of emergency till the covid was already spreading around the us rapidly instead of when there was only a few cases. i don’t feel sorry for you at all

Shouldn't have tested.

This user is not so sure that the president is even telling the truth.

I’m glad you have tested positive, but part of me does not believe you… why now? Next debate? Why COVID? You have something up your sleeve? You lie about everything… would you even admit to having COVID? I just don’t know what to think

However, people continue to show their support for Trump. Wishing him and FLOTUS their quick recovery.

Well I'm not surprised Trump tested positive for Covid – the guy's in 5 major risk groups!

1) He's elderly

2) He's obese

3) He's got a public sector job

4) He's a person of color

5) He's poor.#PrayForTrump

Although some were criticizing people for thinking the irony in the news was rather humorous, a majority of people were quick to turn the hashtag into something else entirely.

Presidential Debate

The presidential debate on Tuesday was a mess. President Trump criticized Joe Biden for wearing a mask and the way that he practices safety precautions for COVID-19. The clips were posted alongside the news which people found to be a bit ironic that just two days later the president tests positive for COVID while Joe Biden does not.

During the debate, Trump pokes fun at the way Biden stating, “I wear masks when need,” he continues, “I don’t wear a mask like him. Every time you see him, he’s got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away and he shows up with the biggest mask I’ve ever seen.”

Biden responds to Trump’s criticism by saying, “masks make a big difference. His own head of the CDC said if everybody wore masks and social distance between now and January we’d probably save up to one hundred thousand lives. It matters.” The two candidates continued going back and forth after Trump stated that they (CDC officials) have also said the opposite. Biden disagreed, “no serious person has said the opposite.”

Joe Biden called President Trump out for saying that the virus will be gone by Easter or the warm weather. Biden also recalling Trump telling people that you can inject bleach in your arm to treat the virus. “I was saying that sarcastically and you know it,” Trump returned defending himself.

Viewers were disappointed with how the presidential debate went. People complain that both candidates spent most of the time attacking each other rather than getting good points across.

More Positive Cases

Contact tracing and rapid testing have begun after the president tested positive for COVID. Trump’s advisor Hope Hicks, Kellyanne Conway, and Ronna McDaniel are among some of the figures who have tested positive for the virus as well.

Vice president Mike Pence, Joe Biden, Jill Biden, and Ivanka Trump are among those who have announced that they tested negative for the virus.

Trump had traveled and met with a number of people in the few days before he tested positive. He participated in a number of campaign events, rallies, and other events before testing positive many of these events were large gatherings. Test results for some of the attendees are still not known but a timeline of his events and people he had encountered has been mapped out.

Walter Reed Hospital

President Trump’s doctor Sean P. Conley released a statement assuring that both the president and first lady are doing well. Melania Trump tweeted out letting people know that their symptoms are mild. There is a major concern over the president’s health due to his age and a pre-existing condition. These things are known to make things harder for people who contract the coronavirus.

The president has had a mild fever since Friday morning. He has been brought to Walter Reed Hospital for the next few days. According to the physician’s note, a dose of an experimental treatment called Regeneron has been given to Trump.

A number of people have been wishing Trump well including Former President Barack Obama, the Clintons, and Joe Biden. Joe Biden in Michigan today reminding people of the importance of this virus. “This is not a matter of politics. It’s a bracing reminder to all of us that we have to take this virus seriously. It’s not going away automatically.”
