Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban SKIP Mandatory Quarantine
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got slammed by the internet for skipping a mandatory quarantine in state-approved hotels in Sydney. On Monday, the couple and their daughters, Faith and Sunday, flew from Tennessee to Sydney in their private jet. According to the Australian government, “all travelers arriving in Australia by air or sea must be isolated in mandatory quarantine accommodation for 14 days from their arrivals, with few exceptions.” Kidman and Urban, however, decided they were the exception to the rule.
Normally, travelers must stay in state-approved hotels for the whole duration of their quarantine. The Australia Government website clearly states that “exceptions are rare due to high risk of not quarantining. They are only considered where there are strong medical, health or compassionate grounds.” Kidman and Urban, however, received permission by the New South Wales Government to quarantine in their own house. After the private jet landed, the couple went directly to their $6.5 million mansion in the Southern Highlands. There, an 18-meter swimming pool, a gym and a full-sized tennis court awaited the couple.
Other than serving as a quarantine location, the mansion is also the base for Nicole’s new production, Nine Perfect Strangers. This production is based on a 2018 novel by Liane Moriarty and it’s projected to bring $100 million to the Australian film industry. Unlike Nicole and Keith, other the crew members arriving overseas will quarantine in a state-approved hotel for 14 days. Nicole and other producers are responsible for paying the crew’s medical and security costs.
Prior to this production, Nicole Kidman has won one Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. Her famous productions include Bombshell (2019), Aquaman (2018), Lion(2016) and many more. She was listed as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world in 2006, 2018, and 2019.
Though Kidman and Urban have already received permission from the government, the internet is criticizing the exceptions made due to their privilege.
I'll just throw this in …Nicole Kidman and Keith Suburban just arrived in Australia and did not have to quarantine …they are going to a special retreat….why are they here? because the federal government is giving money to overseas film production.

Why did Premier Gladys Berejiklian allow Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban to 'quarantine' in their Southern Highlands mansion and not in a hotel like every other single international arrival into NSW?
What is the Premier hiding? #nswpol #auspol #GladysGang

Why do these #Hollywood stars get special treatment?

Very disappointed in @NicoleKidman and @KeithUrban not going into quarantine like the rest of the people coming from overseas. The rich and privileged getting away with it again. Besides, we have plenty of talented Australians living here that could help with the film industry. https://t.co/hp6V6Eix7n

On the other hand, Nicole’s fans are defending the actress, saying that the couple still followed the rules and went through the necessary application process.
Oh I love these people that spread lies and innuendos. They are quarantining the only difference is that they’re at their home. They still have to stay there for two weeks. No one can visit them. It’s OK get over it. Jealousy is ugly.
