Megan Thee Stallion is Adele’s New Backup Dancer in this Twitter Meme
Twitter is once again asking the very important and super intriguing questions: Why doesn’t Adele ever have backup dancers? Of course, the obvious answer would be that she’s more of a “cry yourself to sleep” ballad singer and less of a “get up and dance” pop singer, but that isn’t a good enough answer for TikTok and Twitter.
When Twitter user @ramsthulani_ asked the viral question about Adele’s lack of background dancers, the Internet was quick to change that in the famous Twitter fashion — by giving Adele the meme treatment.
How come Adele never has any back up dancers?

It doesn’t help anyone’s case that Adele admitted that she didn’t want to write songs made for TikTok. In an interview, she spoke about her management and their advice to her when releasing her newest album, 30.
“We’ve really got to make sure these 14-year-olds know who you are, and I was like, ‘but they’ve all got mums!’. They’ve all got mums and they’ve definitely been growing up listening to my music, these 14-year-olds, and stuff like that.”
“If everyone’s making music for TikTok, who’s making the music for my generation? Who’s making music for my peers? I will do that job gladly.” @Adele #30

But alas, the Internet will do what that Internet always does — make memes of Adele that would 100% go viral on TikTok and edit in their own background dancers.
A tweet quickly went viral, mashing up Megan Thee Stallion’s dancing at the American Music Awards with the Adele ballad Water Under The Bridge. The trend truly peaked with Megan Thee Stallion getting her verse edited in creating this iconic video:

This then made its way over to TikTok where people started to take it into their own hands to “audition” to be Adele’s backup dancers
The trend got so big that Meg Thee Stallion herself posted a TikTok saying “Adele I am readyyyy.”
This is definitely a collaboration that no one knew they needed, but I doubt anyone is disappointed. Maybe if we’re lucky, they’ll take this seriously and we’ll get more than an edited version of this astounding performance.
