Marilyn Manson Sentenced Hefty Fine And Community Service For Spitting At Camerawoman

Musician Marilyn Manson is facing further legal action just months after facing a series of sexual assault allegations, some from his ex-girlfriend actress Evan Rachel Wood. This time, Manson was sentenced to community service and a fine for inappropriate behavior towards a camerawoman.

In 2019, Marilyn Manson performed at the Bank Of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire, while on a co-headlining a tour with Rob Zombie. A camerawoman working on gathering footage from the show reports that Manson spit and blew a snot rocket at her. The camerawoman Susan Fountain decided to press charges. She read her victim impact statement aloud at the sentencing.

Fountain stated, “For me, I’m a professional person and I’ve been in this industry for 30 years. I’ve worked for a lot of companies, and in all the years I’ve worked with people, I’ve never been humiliated or treated like I was by this defendant. For him to spit on me and blow his nose on me was the most disgusting thing a human being has ever done. I understand this was not a big criminal charge to begin with, but I was hoping that the defendant would receive a sentence that would make him think twice before doing something like this again.”

Marilyn Manson, whose government name is Brian Warner, originally pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault. However, the BBC reports that he later agreed to change his plea to no contest. The singer appeared in court yesterday, wearing a typical black suit and gothic makeup, where he was sentenced to 20 hours of community service and $1,400 in fines. New Hampshire news station WMUR asked Manson if he would apologize to Fountain, to which he offered no comment.

Social Media Reactions

Many were in agreement that Manson ought to be charged for his behavior towards Fountain.

Despite the general public largely agreeing with his sentencing for the inappropriate behavior towards Fountain, the situation is bringing up the much more violent allegations against Manson. The singer previously filed a defamation lawsuit against ex girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, but it was later thrown out of court. One woman recounted her allegations of sexual assault last year, but Wood remains firm in her account of their relationship.

Not the worst he has done tbh

Others question when Wood’s case will head to court next.

When do we get to see him convicted for rape?

Manson is yet to comment on the 2019 incident, or the recent sentencing. It is unclear what exactly the musician’s community service will entail at this time. The musician has not offered comment on his many mounting controversies to the press, and continues to keep his personal life under wraps.
