Lizzo Plans on Suing Backup Dancers Named in Lawsuit Against Her
Lizzo plans on taking action when it comes to her backup dancers. The star plans to sue the girls who are taking her to court.
As of late, Lizzo’s attorney Marty Singer told TMZ that these newly surfaced photos claim to show the backup dancers ‘happily carousing’ and ‘gleefully revealing’ backstage with a couple of dancers from a topless cabaret bar. The photos were taken during Lizzo’s tour stop in Paris.
The singer claims that the photos are from March 5th, which is about a month after the alleged Bananenbar incident in Amsterdam.
In the lawsuit, Lizzo’s accusers claim she pressured them to eat bananas from performers private areas. The dancers named in the legal action, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, also claim they were essentially forced to go to the Paris topless show.
However, Marty Singer is also denying these claims.
The attorney claims that they were having a great time with the topless dancers, who are the ones sporting the colorful wigs.
The attorney also said the dancer return for a third leg of the tour at the time.
Just one month after the Paris show Lizzo’s accuser Arianna Davis seemingly ‘gushed’ over Lizzo in an audition tape.
She stated, “It’s been so amazing and such a beautiful journey. I look up to her so much. I just want to follow in her footsteps, and I just want to share that with the Queen Lizzo herself.”
The attorney for the star says the allegations don’t match the comments made about Lizzo shortly after the incidents, but others claim that the dancer made the comments out of fear of losing her job.
The “Good as Hell” singer was just spotted in public this past Monday for the first time since being sued.
Lizzo claims that she was doing just fine and ‘working on new music.’
Lizzo’s attorney says he has other ‘substantial’ evidence in addition to the photos and videos that ‘prove the glaring contradictions between what the plaintiffs claim in their bogus lawsuit and what is actually proven by the facts.”
Lizzo’s lawyer also calling the lawsuit a “sham” and tells outlets that the singer intends to sue for malicious prosecution after she wins her case.
