“Like a Skyscraper,” Demi Rises to Shut Down Relapse Rumors

Demi Lovato is back and she’s “rising from the ground like a skyscraper.” After entering rehabfor her drug overdose in June earlier this year, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer spoke out for the first time.

Lovato was found in her apartment after a supposed heroin overdose back in July. Her hospitalization came just a month after she released her song “Sober,” announcing to the world that she had relapsed after six years of being sober.

After a few months of rehab, the ex-Disney star was released. However, she has managed to stay tight lipped about her near death experience, mostly by keeping away from social media.

With layers of speculation and stories on Lovato’s relapse, she is here to set the record straight. Lovato took to Twitter Friday to shut down rumors.

“I love my fans, and hate tabloids. Don’t believe everything you read. People will literally make up stuff to tell a story. Sickening,” her first of many tweets shutting down fake news read. “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF,” her tweets continued.

Lovato seems to be focused on herself and healing right now.

“Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal,” one of her tweets read.

She takes a moment to thank her fans for getting to relax and manage self-care with people who love her.

I’m so blessed I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready. I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so fucking much thank you

But for now, she wants everyone to know that most of the stories out there are fake news!

After all, she states, “I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME.” We couldn’t be happier for the progress our Camp Rock star has made, but for now, let’s stay out of her business. Okay?
