Libs of TikTok Has Been Suspended From Instagram

As you might be aware, the Libs of TikTok account on Twitter focuses on posting “a steady stream of TikTok videos and social media posts, primarily from LGBTQ+ people, often including incendiary framing designed to generate outrage.” In April, journalist Taylor Lorenz with Washington Post exposed the once anonymous poster behind the account and how the TikTok account dictates “right-wing media, impacting anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and influencing millions by posting viral videos aimed at inciting outrage among the right.” Now, the creator posts a screenshot showing that they were suspended from Instagram, sparking outrage from followers and those on the right.

Although controversial, Libs of TikTok garnered over 1 million followers, with the videos from them often being featured on Fox News with Tucker Carlson and being promoted by podcaster Joe Rogan. When they posted they had been suspended from Instagram, Libs of TikTok began trending as people claim this is an example of suppression of speech from social media sites. “This is the key here, folks. They’re suspending videos of maniacs on the Left telling you what they actually think and what they’re actually doing, often in classrooms with your kids. Real videos. It’s the reality they’re afraid you’ll see,” one person responded to the original Tweet.

For what? For posting videos created BY LEFTISTS showing parents what their kids are being taught in school? Showing teachers grooming kids in trans ideology & Queer Theory? @instagram, revoke this suspension immediately.

Fox News covered the story as well, writing that “Liberal media outlets and Big Tech platforms have come after the Libs of TikTok accounts, which are on multiple social media platforms – when not suspended – including Facebook, Rumble, and YouTube, in addition to Twitter and Instagram.” Not everyone, however, was upset about the suspension. Lorenz posted about the news as well, with some people responding that it was “about time” and wondering why it took so long.

Although the Instagram account is suspended, the Twitter one remains online and thriving, proving to be an obvious point of contention online. While some claim the Twitter account aims to “highlight” what people from the left are doing and what they believe, others point out how going viral on the account has affected those who went viral.
