Lana Del Rey Announces Fall Tour Dates After Being Spotted in New Jersey
Acclaimed alternative singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey announced ten fall tour dates beginning in Franklin, Tennessee.
The tour will support the singer’s most recent album release, “Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.” The album was praised for its raw songwriting that offered a rare glimpse into Del Rey’s personal life, layered with her lilting old Hollywood vocals and Americana-inspired imagery.

While fans were excited by the news, some were disappointed that the small tour leg only spans 10 shows concentrated in the south. Prior to this tour announcement, the singer has been playing the summer music festival circuit. She appeared at Glastonbury Fest in the U.K. and Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois.

Others were surprised that she is not even stopping in her native New York.

Del Rey famously finds herself in all corners of American life as an exercise in her multifaceted songwriting process.
Summertime Sightings
The announcement comes after a summer of a string of surprises for fans of the singer. After recently being spotted working at a Waffle House in rural Alabama, where she told fans she was “working on her next record,” fans caught another surprise glimpse of the singer. Del Rey posed for photos with fans at a 711 in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
The singer stopped in the iconic Jersey shore for one of the music industry’s most high profile weddings of the year. Singer-songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff, who also performs under the name Bleachers, has produced albums with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and more. Both singers took a break from their busy schedules to attend his wedding, which attracted hundreds of locals to gather outside of the rehearsal dinner.
Antonoff married actress Margaret Qualley. Qualley’s mother is famed actress Andie MacDowell. Qualley most recently starred in the hit series “Maid.” The actress is a close friend to the numerous musicians that Antonoff has worked with over the years, particularly Lana Del Rey. The singer penned the track “Margaret” in honor of the couple’s wedding.

It is unclear whether the singer will issue more tour dates at this time. Tickets will go on sale with Live Nation.
The singer previously confirmed to an Alabama fan that she was already working on her next record. It is unclear when the new album is to be released, and whether the recording process has begun. Amid her busy schedule, one thing remains clear–Del Rey just might have finally beat her summertime sadness.
