Kanye West Plans to Run Again For President in 2024
With the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Race still uncertain, there is one thing that is for certain – Kanye West will not be the next President of the United States.
Since the 2015 VMA’s where West said he will be run for president in 2020, fans all over the country sarcastically predicted West will be the next president, but this was not a joke to West.
West made his official announcement to run for president this past July with Christian preacher Michelle Tidball by his side as his running mate. But West did not run as a traditional third-party candidate by being a part of the Green or Libertarian parties. Instead, West created his own political party called the “Birthday Party” because if he won “it’ll be everyone’s birthday.”
However, West missed the deadline to officially put himself on the ballot as a presidential candidate in many states, so in some states he was listed as a vice presidential candidate for the Independent Party with Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente as his president. But West’s campaign put out a statement saying that West does not want to be someone’s running mate – he wants to be President of the United States.
Kanye Voted For the First Time
Previously, West tweeted out to his followers to ask them to write in his name on their ballots for president.

Yesterday, West voted for the first time in his life, and he said he is voting for someone he truly trusts – himself.

Also, West documented his first voting experience by tweeting pictures of his ballot and sticker.

How Well Did Kanye Do in the 2020 Election?
Although West is not a serious competitor to President Trump and former Vice President Biden, he did get over 60,000 votes.
West received over 10,000 votes in Tennessee and even beat the Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins in Iowa.

When news broke that over 60,000 people voted for West, some were upset that people “wasted their vote” on West.
To the 60,000 who wasted a vote on Kanye West. Do better. #Election2020

Imagine going through the process of requesting a ballot, filling it out, packing it back up, then mailing it or driving it to your local ballot box – or even worse – WAITING IN LINE FOR HOURS…………. just to vote for Kanye. Some people have no self-respect.

Twitter Reactions To Kanye’s Election Results
While the world is biting their nails waiting for the results of who will be the next President of the United States, some Twitter users are trying to lighten the mood by making some memes about West’s election results.
One Twitter user pointed out that Mississippi had a picture for all the presidential candidates, except Kanye West.
I'm sorry. They couldn't find ONE picture of KANYE WEST? https://t.co/57CPjZBjk4

Some are making memes about West being an “electoral college dropout.”

Because the election is still not decided, some are sarcastically suggesting West contest the results like the other two candidates most likely will.

Kanye Announces He Will Run in 2024
Neither President Trump or Vice President Biden have conceded the election as there is still much uncertainty, but West has officially accepted his defeat. However, he has not given up on the White House as his concession was also an announcement that he plans to run again in 2024.

Even though many saw West’s entrance into the presidential race as a joke, West’s announcement that he will run in 2024 sparked many to publicly declare their support for him.
Some have tweeted a picture of their ballot showing West’s name written in ink and are claiming that they will vote for him again in 2024.

One Twitter user has proclaimed his full support for West as he thinks West is “a leader in our country” and “sees a purpose in our future.”

Another Twitter user praises West for being himself and a very successful man that understands the issues in the healthcare system.

Though West does have some support, most are commenting that they will not be supporting him in 2024.

West and the other third party candidates may be out of the race, but the election is far from over as there are still several states – Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania – that are counting their ballots to determine the winner of a very tight race. Even if the results of the 2020 Presidential Election are determined soon, there is a great chance that both sides will bring up some legal disputes on the abnormal election process.
Because the election is very close, it is evident that the country is divided; however, let’s focus on the one thing that did unite us – the voter turnout was the highest in America’s history. This shows that many Americans are exercising their right as citizens, the right to vote.
