Kanye West Called Out By Jamie Lee Curtis for Antisemitic Instagram and Twitter Posts

This past weekend the singer infuriated fans with some of his comments he made online. Twitter has now confirmed that it has removed the following tweet by the rapper stating “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 on Jewish People…”

Obviously no one is sure why Kanye posted something like this online and this rapidly spread across Twitter.

Twitter confirmed on Sunday October 9th that it had removed the post from its platform. The account was also “locked for violating Twitter’s policies” as a Twitter spokesperson stated but declined to mention which policy it indeed was. 

The tweet was no longer visible online but that really didn’t stop a ton of people from sharing it online.

This comes after Instagram restricted the singer’s account as well. A spokesperson from Meta stated that the platform “deleted content from @kanyewest for violating our policies and placed a restriction on the account. We may place restrictions on accounts that repeatedly break our rules, for example, we may temporarily restrict them from posting, commenting, or sending DM’s.” 

Basically what Kanye did on Instagram was have a conversation with Diddy that was also antisemitic. 

After Kanye was restricted by the platform he actually took to Twitter in a tweet that is still visible stating “Look at this Mark. How you gone kick me off Instagram”

People on social media including those like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated “There is absolutely no room in this country or world for antisemitism. It is important to see how harmful + dangerous Kanye’s words are — not only to our Jewish brothers, sisters, & siblings, but also to our collective society at large. We must reject this … wherever we see it.

Some users have stated that this is free speech but others argue that there are policies on these platforms that need to be followed, and that this is not okay. 

Kanye West’s tweets were antisemitic and in keeping with the white nationalist ideology he’s been embracing to ingratiate himself with the right. Kanye is talented, Kanye has mental health issues, but Kanye is also behaving intentionally and unacceptably pic.twitter.com/91a7lDTnmw

Honestly, it’s also unclear who will be defending Kanye West at this point.

However, we did see people like Elon Musk respond to Kanye’s tweet about Mark Zuckerberg stating “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!”

And of course Kanye has been in a lot of controversy lately aside from this incident. 

Kanye West has 3 million followers. He just said he is coming to get the Jews.

6 million Jews were murdered in gas chambers within a human lifetime.

People are saying ignore Kanye because he is sick and a clown. They say he isn’t serious.

Those people are deluded.

Kanye said some very questionable things in an interview with Tucker Carlson lately and a photo of himself with Candace Owen wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts caused even people like Adidas to question their partnership. In a statement the brand stated “after repeated efforts to privately resolve the situation, we have taken the decision to place the partnership under review.”

Kanye West has more than 3 million followers. He threatened to go "death con 3" on Jewish people. I don't hear his GOP supporters coming out to condemn this. Instead, Jewish people are being told to get over it because he isn't serious.

This whole incident has left a large amount of people online feeling hurt and saddened.

Please stop using mental illness to explain away Kanye West's anti-Semitic rants. Millions of people are dealing with mental health issues, and they don't go on anti-Semitic rants.

As of this time Kanye does not have any ability to post on either platform. Many are waiting to see if he will be removed from both platforms entirely.
