K-Pop Star Moonbin of ASTRO Dead at 25

Moonbin of popular K-Pop band ASTRO was found dead. He was 25 years old. A cause of death is to be announced, but the singer’s family confirmed they will be holding a private funeral. ASTRO was recently announced as part of the lineup for the 29th Dream Concert at Busan’s Asiad Main Stadium on May 27. The festival organizers have not released comment on Moonbin’s death.

Fans are mourning the sudden loss of the singer across social media.

Despite Korean police still investigating Moonbin’s cause of death, some suspect that the singer died by suicide. The online K-Pop community is urging young fans of the singer to take care of themselves, and remember to seek help if they are struggling.

Amid the news of Moonbin’s death, some fans of another popular K-Pop band, BTS, are keeping the bands’ rivalry going. “BTS Is Still Alive” continues to trend on Twitter, with ASTRO fans combatting the hateful comments after news broke of Moonbin’s tragic death.
