Jojo Siwa Defends Everleigh LaBrant’s New Single ‘Like Taylor Swift’ From Trolls Online

Everleigh LaBrant, popular child influencer of Cole and Savannah LaBrant, debuted her first song “Like Taylor Swift” and an accompanying music video. However, the song has sparked some debate, so much that none other than Jojo Siwa is stepping in to defend Everleigh.

Fans are praising the young girl’s creativity calling her single “so catchy” for such a 10-year-old. But not everyone has fallen in love with the song.

Some only are calling this the “Friday” of the generation, calling comparisons to the 2011 Rebecca Back debuted that was mocked back in its time.  Rebecca Black has spoken out about the comments made on her song at such a young age claiming that it made her feel depressed and ashamed for years.

Some on social media have mocked Everleigh’s lyrics with some stating the lyrics were too mature for a young girl to be referencing.

Savannah LaBrant, Everleigh LaBrant and Cole LaBrant attend the Nickelodeon Halo Awards 2017 at Pier 36 on November 4, 2017 in New York City.

Users online began questioning who wrote the track, with some accusing the parents being the masterminds behind the single. 27-year-old Cole stated in a TikTok video that Everleigh wrote the lyrics, but the music video with over 1.1 million views on YouTube says it was written by the “LaBrant Fam.”

Popular child star and ‘Dance Moms’ album Jojo Siwa entered the conversation telling haters that they needed to back off on giving such criticism to someone so young.

The dancer and known online celebrity posted a caption to this TikTok video stating, “First, this song is adorable (and insanely catchy). And second… Bullying isnt cool, it’s not funny, and it’s not trendy, ever… especially when it’s directed at a 10 year old and her first song by people much older than her. Some even adults. If you’ve posted something knocking this, you should be embarrassed.”

Christian Thomas, Avery Cyrus, JoJo Siwa and Chase Thomas attend the Los Angeles Premiere of "Jagged Little Pill" at Hollywood Pantages Theatre on September 14, 2022 in Hollywood, California.

Fans in the comments agreed with the stance Jojo took on the matter. Jojo claimed that “she absolutely deserved all of the love and success she has.”

Internet personalities Cole LaBrant (L) and Savannah Soutas attend the premiere of Paramount Pictures' "Ben-Hur" at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on August 16, 2016 in Hollywood, California.

Everleigh’s parents, who boast nearly 52 million collective TikTok followers and 12 million on Instagram between the couple as well have continued to pour out their support on social media. There has yet to be any other comments about the single from the LaBrant family as of this time.
