Hit Song ‘WAP’ Saves A Group Of Young People From Karens Without Masks
Seeing a Karen on social media is nothing new but one can never be too prepared for how to handle a Karen encounter, right?
As the pandemic continues, some people are still debating whether or not they believe in wearing masks. During COVID-19 there are people who perceive wearing a mask as more of a political statement.
The reality is that wearing a mask has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with public safety. The CDC recommends social distancing and wearing a mask. Wearing a mask not only protects you but also the people around you.
Many celebrities have taken to social media to let their fans know they should wear a mask when they leave their house. At the VMAs, during her speech Pop Star, Lady Gaga spoke about the importance of wearing a mask. Gaga stated, “It’s a sign of respect.”
Karens and Kevins can be seen all over the internet making a fuss about wearing a mask. A recent Karen has gone viral on TikTok at a pro-police rally in Camas, Washington. A group of young people showed up to rally to protest. They came to rally with ‘Blue Lives Don’t Exist’ signs and were immediately confronted by ‘Karens’.
The protesters start playing Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion’s hit song WAP loudly to ignore the screaming coming from the ‘Karens’.
The ‘Karen’ approaches the car with her mask hanging from her ear. She begins harassing everyone in the car saying all kinds of slurs with her children by her side. She also sticks her head in the car and coughs on the people in the back seat.
Another Karen was caught on video confronting a person in his car about wearing his mask. She comes up to his window with her mask on her chin demanding him to wear his mask. She screamed at the man saying he was putting her at risk. When he questioned why she wasn’t wearing her mask she continued by saying she has a medical condition.
One user commenting on the video, “If she wouldn’t have walked up to you she wouldn’t be at risk.”
A video of a Karen in a supermarket went viral after she was dragged out for not wearing a mask.
Anti-Maskers take the issue very politically. Many people use all types of excuses to not wear a mask. The most common excuses are things like it is a violation of their civil rights, some people tie religion into it and the inability to breathe with the masks on.
Back in June, commissioners of the Palm Beach County were considering an emergency order to require face masks in the county to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. The board would ultimately approve the order, but not without a fiery debate. One Karen stated, “You’re removing our freedoms and stomping on our Constitutional rights by these Communist dictatorship orders or laws you want to mandate.”
This woman in particular felt strongly about her ability to breathe without a mask. Whitney, an essential worker who has been working since the pandemic began, told Palm Beach County commissioners she has not worn a mask. She continued, “In the end, I don’t wear a mask for the same reason I don’t wear underwear. Things gotta breathe.”

A twitter user commented on this woman’s inconsiderate behavior.
All these people oppose to wearing a mask, have them volunteer at the hospitals where patients are dying due to covid19. Have them make that difficult call to the families that their loved did not make it. Let them see the dead bodies been rolled out.

Another user stated that the woman thinks her discomfort is more important than the health of others.
Another user poked fun that he did not want to be where she worked.
Where does she work so I can be sure not to go there then?

Both Karens and Kevins continue to make the debate of masks a political and religious issue. This Kevin also felt strongly about his position at the Palm Beach County meeting.
He yelled at the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, “You did not listen to we the people! I would die for that country. I would die for the Constitution. You know what? You disgrace me! You know why? You did not listen to we the people! You made your decision!”

To clarify, wearing a mask is not about what political party you affiliate with. Wearing a mask also does not have anything to do with what religion you are or even how you choose to act on that spirituality. Wearing a mask is about public safety. It helps prevent people with COVID-19 from spreading the virus to other people around them. The CDC stated,” Masks are recommended as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from traveling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the mask coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. This is called source control.”
