Halsey Calls Out Comments About Her Looking Sick in Recent TikTok
Recently, singer Halsey opened up about comments that they have been receiving online revolving around her body and health. In the video, she addresses comments like “you look sick” or “she’s too thin.” In the video, she chooses a sound that says “I already know” and writes she looks sick because she is sick. Halsey has been quite open about their health online, opening up about their health. “I’ve been kind of sick most of my adult life” she once wrote online. But, it seems like people continued to comment about her body and how she looks despite this, which can definitely be frustrating.

Online, she has talked about how having a baby worsened her health, and how she even had to go to the hospital for anaphylaxis a few times. So, it seems odd that people would continue to comment on her body, even if it came from a place of genuine concern. Unfortunately, many in the comments could relate to this. “As someone with EDS and PCOS, I feel you. Don’t worry about ignorant people” one person wrote. Another person thanked Halsey for always speaking out about her illness, writing “I have MCAS and it is so comforting to know I’m not alone and I fully relate to your story with all the allergies & doctor drama.”
For context, Halsey has long been candid about her health — and she recently explained how things had changed following her pregnancy and giving birth to her child, Ender, last year. “I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times,” she began. pic.twitter.com/XcF8dYrZcY

I wish we could all give halsey a giant hug right now. The strength it must take to be getting ready for tour amongst all that is going on is incredible. And it was obviously very much sweet and kind to give us a lengthy update. Sending all my love for health and happiness

One person commented that “There’s time and place to tell someone they may look ill and it should come from a close concerned person, not some randomer online.” Although many believe it should not have to be said that you should not comment on others’ bodies, Halsey’s message seems to clarify this even more. Although some people might not realize the magnitude or potential damage of their comments, it is best to not make comments on people’s bodies, even if it comes out of legitimate concern.
