‘Good Morning America’ Anchors Taken Off the Air Due to “Distracting” Romance
The Good Morning America Anchors have been pulled off the air because of their romantic relationship.
As many recall, this duo generated a massive wave of unwanted attention after reports came out that the two were romantically involved with each other for quite some time even though both were still in a committed marriage. Since the news broke, tabloids and people across the internet were tuned into every word, analyzing things from body language to tone to really find out if these rumors were true.
On December 2nd, the two seemed to appear on camera like nothing had ever happened. Many were confused as the two made casual banter as usual and put on the show as normal.

But in the end, viewers were also not too keen of the rumors. This tweet alone had over 100,000 likes on Twitter.

And now in the latest update to the story, it seems that ABC has pulled the two anchors off of the air. Co-anchors Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez filled in for the two with the quote “Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have the day off,” hitting viewers with an eerie feeling.
As reported by Page Six and other tabloids, ABC News chiefs decided to take the two off of the air because the affair became too much of a distraction.
ABC News president Kim Godwin said during an internal phone call, “After a lot of thought, I am taking Amy and T.J. off the air as we figure this out.”
Godwin also stated that while Holmes and Robach’s alleged affair was “not a violation of company policy,” but the decision to pull them temporarily was necessary for the “Good Morning America” brand as a whole.
Eyewitnesses first spotted the broadcasters “canoodling” in bars near ABC News’ Midtown Manhattan headquarters in May of 2022. Then, weeks before Thanksgiving, Holmes and Robach went on a getaway to a cabin in upstate New York, where he was seen grabbing her butt.
According to Page Six, Robach has been close to finalizing her divorce from the “Melrose Place” actor Andrew Shue after this news broke out. The two had a rocky marriage from insider reports and Shue had actually moved out earlier this summer.
On the other hand, T.J Holmes’ wife was apparently ‘blindsided’ by this alleged affair. The staffer who broke the news stated that both Holmes and his wife Marilee Fiebeg had been separated for several months but were trying to “work things out.”
