Facebook Users Hate Cracker Barrels’s New Impossible Sausage
Today on Twitter, users noticed that Facebook users are not pleased with the southern restaurant’s new Impossible sausages, which offer a vegetarian option for some. But, some Facebook users are not pleased with this, and it’s not because of the taste. With some comments accusing the business of “going woke” or changing their demographic, the post on Twitter went viral due to some people finding it absurd.

“Just another reason to avoid Cracker Barrel. The cleanliness is awful, service has gone downhill, and now you are making sausage from plants, and seem proud of it. It is aptly named. ‘Impossible,'” one upset commenter wrote. But, it wasn’t only people on Facebook who were upset. In responding to the viral tweets, one person said “I agree with them. If you’re not willing to stick to your formula why bother?” defending the longtime brand Cracker Barrel has of old-fashioned southern cooking.
Ok, but KNOWING their customer base they should’ve lead with communicating that this isn’t replacing regular sausage, this is just another option. Their base does love to find reasons to fuel their theories so don’t give them a reason.

With the addition of vegetarian products to menus, some believe this is to appeal to the “woke agenda” that many conservatives believe is taking place across restaurants. But, veganism is not limited to liberals or progressives, as the ideology was not intended to be political. Many pointed out that at the end of the day, it was just food, and adding one or two vegetarian options does not mean it would eradicate meat-eating options.
Nothing like a mindset of “this isn’t for me” automatically meaning “you’re getting rid of the thing that IS for me” and, subconsciously “you’re including people who I believe are beneath me which makes you lesser in my eyes”

“Meat eaters angry that Cracker Barrel is offering fake meat to people who want it. It’s not enough for them to get what they want; people they don’t like must not be accommodated. I’m not happy unless you’re unhappy,” one person commented. Others agreed, not understanding where the outrage was stemming from, as it just offered something on the menu that they do not have to eat or even pay attention to. “We laugh, but this is a problem. Like, just don’t order it if you don’t want to. Problem solved and your life goes on. There is no reason for such vitriol in response to this,” another person noted.
