‘Euphoria’ Star Angus Cloud Dead at 25

Actor Angus Cloud has died at the age of 25. The actor made his television debut as “Fez” Fezco O’Neill in the gritty HBO hit series “Euphoria,” where he played a complex drug dealer working to make ends meet for his grandmother and younger brother, while protecting his friend Rue from addiction. Cloud starred in the controversial yet acclaimed series alongside Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, and more.

Cloud was an Oakland, California native, and was famously cast off the street at his serving job in Brooklyn, New York, for the popular show. His acting role gave way to modeling contracts with luxury fashion houses, and several untitled projects slated for a 2024 release. The actor’s family did not directly confirm a cause of death, but released a statement regarding his passing.

Fans of the show and Cloud’s unique approach to acting are shocked to learn of his untimely passing. One Twitter user made a connection to the recent death or Irish singer-songwriter Sinéad O’Connor, who passed recently after struggling with a recent death in her family, similar to Cloud. The sequence of deaths continues to spark conversation about mental health reform.

Angus Cloud dying at 25 a week after his dad’s death, Shuhada Sadaqat / Sinead O’Connor a year after her 17 year old son found dead by suicide, we are all subjected to profound loss under systems that make justice impossible, healing inconceivable, may they rest

One entertainment journalist recounted a positive encounter with the rising star.

I met Angus Cloud last year. He went to our fashion week party. Brought his crew of friends and was so chill. Politely turned down every pic bc he just wanted to hang out. At the end, we found ourselves hanging out with his ragtag group of art kids from the Bay. He was so sweet. pic.twitter.com/9lD1xwM2Zc

Fans encouraged sensitivity at this time. “Euphoria” filming for the show’s third season was pushed back repeatedly due to the several stars’ competitive shooting schedules and the ongoing SAG-AFTRA  and WGA strike. Cloud’s death could delay it indefinitely.
