EXCLUSIVE: Social Media Star Dai Time Talks About Moving to L.A. And More!

Social media sensation Dai Time is quickly rising to the top of social media amassing over 500k Instagram followers and making regular appearances on shows like Brat’s “Attaway General” and “The Glo Show.”

What’s Trending got the chance to sit down with Dai Time and talk about some of her struggles and successes as a 15-year-old African American teen on social media.

Time, along with her mom, moved to Los Angeles in March of 2020 from Atlanta with just under 200k followers on Instagram and the goal of spreading positivity. “I was never in it for the money, I saw how many young girls, especially girls of color, looked up to me and enjoyed my content,” time told What’s Trending. The now 15-year-old’s content consists of mostly daily lifestyle videos with friends and family, “I love to just be me and have fun while sharing that fun with my fans,” Time said.

Your favorite Georgia peach, as Time likes to call herself, originally got her start in the entertainment space by doing red carpet interviews with celebrities such as Oprah, Queen Latifa, Shaquille O’Neal, Tyler Perry, just to name a few. Time also owns her own magazine, Dai Time Magazine, which is published monthly and covers young teen personalities making a positive change. When asked by WT how she has accomplished all of this at 15 Time responded with, “I just did it, I set goals and worked hard to achieve them.”

15 was a big year for Time as she got her driver’s license, stared in two viral shows, and graduated high school?! Yes, at just the mere age of 15 1/2 this teen finished high school while currently being enrolled in college courses. “A big part of Dai’s career is that she needs to be educated, I know it’s a lot to handle but it’s a necessity, ” Time’s mom told What’s Trending.

Time currently boasts over 500k Instagram followers and is working with major fashion brands such as Ivy Park by Beyoncé, Pretty Little Thing, FashioNova, and more! Before concluding WT’s interview with Dai Time, we wanted to ask her about future plans, “Yes! My goal is to host an entertainment show of some sort due to my background interviewing so many a-list celebrities on the carpet!”
