Chevrolet Unveils the New Blazer 2024 EV in Los Angeles

Nothing is better than zooming down the highway in your Chevy enjoying the smooth roads and beautiful country scenery. That is, until you see the price per gallon at the next rest stop. With gas prices soaring and more buyers becoming environmentally conscious, electric and hybrid cars are becoming a need rather than just a green option.

Chevy’s new Blazer EV is an all-electriic midsize SUV. It comes back by the sturdy dependability of Chevy while also giving you nearly endless options for customization. Appearing in 3 trims: 1LT, 2LT, RS and the first ever electric SS performance model, Chevy has got you and your family covered.

The new 2024 Blazer gets an estimated 320 miles on a full charge. Additionally it can charge up to 86 miles in 10 minutes meaning your car takes a fraction of the time to recharge, getting you back on the road more efficiently. The EV Blazer’s performance is so extraordinary they will be outfitting police fleets with their pursuit-rated Police Pursuit Vehicle model. With 557 horsepower and up to 648 pounds per foot of torque, this vehicle was made to move, shattering preconceived notions of standard EVs.

While performance is everything, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look good! The 22” wheels are beautiful and designed with safety and style in mind. There are front Brembo brakes with specific sport-tuned chassis that are sleek and modern, just like the unique front grill and distinctive black roof. One of the most exciting design additions is also one of the most functional. A bold, dual element LED exterior lighting system will communicate the status of your vehicle when you walk up or away. That’s right, you can see how charged your car is just by walking towards it. And the light changes speed, color and intensity based on the battery’s charge. More motion sensor convenience is had with a hatchback that raises as soon as you approach meaning you no longer have to dislocate your shoulder when your hands are full of bags and your keys are in your back pocket!

I had the pleasure of attending the EV Blazer lunch in sunny Los Angeles, one of the largest markets for EVs. Held at the architecturally significant Pacific Design Center, the night was all about celebrating what makes Los Angeles such a great match for the Chevy Blazy EV. The food was amazing and featured LA comfort foods like Banh Mi sandwiches, street tacos, sliders and Korean fried chicken. The drinks were as adventurous as they were delicious and featured local spirits. My favorite was The Blue Star which featured blue vodka, sugar, lime… and absinthe. Such an interesting surprise and a flavor I wasn’t expecting, but enjoyed very much.

So how did these items relate to the Chevy EV Blazer? Well clearly the Blazer looks delicious, Chevy, like LA, is environmentally conscious and has good taste, and I wasn’t expecting such amazing performance stats from an Electric Vehicle, but Chevy really raised the bar.

There is so much to look forward to in the Chevy EV Blazer. They’ll be available next spring so start preparing now to step into the new generation of all electric vehicles.
