Britney Spears Does Not Want To Reconcile With Her Father Despite Recent Reports

Britney Spears is not looking to reconnect with her estranged father, despite the latest reports.

According to a source speaking with Page Six, the insider shut down the rumor.

“It’s just not true,” one insider close to the “Toxic” singer insists.

“Britney is on a healing journey, but a reconciliation with Jamie is not in the cards,” a second source adds.

The new report comes after TMZ claimed that Britney was looking to mend the relationship with her dad. In the past, the singer stated she wanted Jamie in jail for his role in her 13-year long conservatorship.

Sources also claimed that the Grammy winner has been wanting to reach out to her dad who has been ill for some time.

The divorce between Spears and Kevin Federline and their battle for custody of their children has already cost the singer about a million dollars, Spear's lawyer Stacy Phillips said on March 10, 2008, and called on the presiding judge in the case to limit the allowance Spears has had to give Federline to pay his lawyers to 175,000 dollars, warning she was not an "open checkbook." Jamie has been suffering from an infection stemming from a knee replacement surgery that occured more than 16 years ago. The estranged father has been in and out of the hospital since then.

Jamie, who is now 71-years-old, is set to undergo another operation Friday and has lost nearly 25 pounds in this ordeal.

Britney’s conservatorship was terminated back in November 2021, and she has been in touch with her brother Bryan Spears.

What’s Trending previously reported that Bryan has been mending a hand to help his sister in need, but does not know where he can assist best.

“He’s been staying over and helping her alongside a therapist,” an insider exclusively told Page Six, calling Bryan’s presence “a great thing for all of” the Spears family.

Back in 2020, the brother spoke out about the ongoing family affair claiming that “having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating.

Britney has not been on the closest of terms with her family as of late, even with the divorce. The “Toxic” singer has been “isolated” at her mansion in Thousand Oaks, California after Asghari “deserted” her and filed to end their 14-month marriage August 16th.

Spears recently had a reunion with her mother, but the two are not as close as they have been in the past.

According to TMZ, father Jamie Spears is open to a reconciliation with Britney and has no hard feelings following the end of the conservatorship.

“Ma’am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played huge roles in punishing me when I said ‘No’ [to going on tour] — ma’am, they should be in jail,” she told a Los Angeles judge at the time.

“I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy. I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized.”

Britney later wrote on Instagram, “Honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading !!!!” before thanking the #FreeBritney movement for saving her life.
