Britney Spears Allegedly To Release New Music Amid Divorce From Sam Asghari

Pop star Britney Spears‘ husband, model, actor, and personal trainer Sam Asghari, confirmed the pair’s divorce via Instagram stories today. Amid the news of the split, Spears is rumored to be hitting the recording studio and beginning the process of recording new music. Page Six reported that a source claimed that Spears is soon set to attend a songwriting workshop.

The Divorce

Asghari, a model, personal trainer, and actor, is allegedly attempting to blackmail the singer into renegotiating their prenuptial agreement with threats to release “embarrassing” personal information about her. The allegations of a prenup battle and split were first reported by Page Six.

The couple married in June 2022, months after the singer was reportedly released from her decades long restrictive conservatorship. Spears was placed in the arrangement by her parents following a manic episode that led to her bipolar disorder diagnosis shortly after. Spears alleged that she was forced to perform, maintain an IUD as a form of birth control, and had restricted access to her two sons, who she shares with ex husband Kevin Federline.

Now, amid the divorce, Spears legal team includes the very lawyer who fought for her to be released from her conservatorship, Mathew Rosengart, and Hollywood divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

The wedding was attended by numerous celebrities from different sectors of the entertainment industry. Given Spears’ high profile legal battle, fans of the star previously questioned Asghari’s motives for marriage. Asghari alleges that Spears cheated on him with a staff member. The singer is yet to comment publicly on this allegation, though anonymous sources continue to claim that Spears denies the infidelity. Some fans of the singer even accuse TMZ of biased reporting against her.

Spears is yet to address the divorce or cheating rumors on social media. Yesterday, she posted a photo of herself riding a horse on a beach, without addressing the mounting rumors encircling the end of her marriage.
