Andy Ngo tweets a misleading video from the Million MAGA March in Washington D.C.
On Saturday, Trump supporters and far right extremists held a Million MAGA March in Washington D.C, where they showed up in the streets to support President Trump and his false claims about election fraud. There were thousands of supporters who attended the MAGA March. Journalist, Andy Ngo, tweeted a video highlighting an incident from the MAGA March and people were upset to watch it.
The video shows a Trump supporter walking away from a group of counter-protester before a man got punched in the face. As they knock out the man to the ground he then gets kicked and gets his phone stolen. The man is then picked up from the ground by other Trump supporters with blood on his face. Ngo captioned the tweet, “Graphic: A close-up angle of BLM rioters knocking a man unconscious who was leaving the Million MAGA March in DC earlier today. They also steal his phone when he’s on the ground.”

Ngo left a part of the video out where it shows what led to this. He then posted the extended video captioned, “BLM-antifa thugs are running around and beating people on the streets in DC.” The extended video shows both the protesters and counter protesters were seen aggravating one another, such as yelling curse words and punching and shoving each other. The man is then seen pushing a counter protester who is talking on a megaphone, who’s yelling at Trump supporters to get out. He is then pushed back by the counter protester.
At least 20 people were arrested throughout the day in four people on gun charges, according to Newsweek. The Washington Post reported that four police officers were injured as well. Not to mention a man in his 20’s was stabbed in the back and was in critical condition.
President Donald Trump tweeted about everything that went on at the march. “ANTIFA SCUM ran for the hills today when they tried attacking the people at the Trump Rally, because those people aggressively fought back. Antifa waited until tonight, when 99% were gone, to attack innocent #MAGA People. DC Police, get going — do your job and don’t hold back!!!”

President Trump also retweeted both of Ngo’s tweets about the video at the march. Many called Ngo out for not correcting himself earlier on the first post. He had people make assumptions about the violent clash that took place at the march. Ngo has a history of leaving important parts out from stories or videos he posts.
It might be time to start treating Andy Ngo's followers like victims instead of supporters. He actively gaslights them at every opportunity, teaching them to see things that don't exist and to reject sources of information that are not approved by him. It's troubling.

Another Twitter user tagged “Twitter” asking them to ban Ngo and compared him to Trump. Ngo responded with “So desperate.”

Ngo did it again! He posted another small clip of a female protester on the ground with a bloody mouth. “Here’s video of what happened when she allegedly stole a US flag & was brandishing a knife. She got knocked out.”
Ngo then posted the complete video of what happened and being literal with the caption, “Video of what happened next.”

One Twitter user described Ngo’s career in one image. Ngo had to “clarify” himself after seeing the image but people weren’t buying it.
It’s okay Andy. We all know you just report what your target market is buying.

Many Twitter users are asking to stop retweeting and following Ngo where as others defend Ngo.
To Democratic Alliance (in South Africa) leadership, please either stop retweeting Andy Ngo or at least acknowledge that he has a record of being deceptive and dishonest.
That would be appreciated, (and honestly might even put the party in a better light). https://t.co/XgdclhovHI

NBC reporter, Brandy Zadrozny, defended Ngo and thinks his video are being put in good use.
Overall, the man holding the sign who knocked out the Trump supporter is Kenneth Deberry and is registered as a sex offender. He was charged with aggravated assault, inciting violence, and possession of a firearm.
Some protest are peaceful but this MAGA March got out of control.
