An Old Clip Of Taylor Swift Discussing Wardrobe Easter Eggs Has Fans Wondering If The Butterfly Jeans Were Intentional
The Taylor Swift fans have resurfaced an old clip of the singer discussing “Easter eggs” in her wardrobe choices shortly after the release of her 2019 album “Lover.” In the clip, the star specifically references the important symbolism of butterflies. She said that butterflies symbolize “breaking free of the darkness” to her.
The singer returned to New York City a few days ago. Many photographed Swift leaving a West Village restaurant alongside longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and Antonoff’s fianceé, actress Margaret Qualley. Notably, she was wearing a pair of jeans emblazoned with a bejeweled butterfly. Fans really think this is a big Easter egg. This was just days after after her alleged breakup from actor Joe Alwyn after six years together.

Taylor Swift is having a hectic few days in between tour stops along her cross-country “The Eras Tour.” The tour encompasses material from all ten of her studio albums, and incorporates unique wardrobe changes and elaborate sets to match each respective album “era.” In between her Texas and Florida shows, fans allegedly spotted Swift filming what is believed to be a music video in Liverpool, U.K.
Some theorized that actors Joey King and Taylor Lautner were to appear in the video. Swift famously penned “Back To December” about her relationship with Lautner years ago, and King previously appeared in Swift’s music video for “Mean.” Both tracks appeared on the “Speak Now” album.
This has Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) written all over it. The curly hair. The boots. The Speak Now album cover was a PAINTING. Joey King was in the Mean music video. Taylor Lautner played a big role in her life at that time and we know they’re on the good terms. BRACE YOURSELVES pic.twitter.com/jmyZYVDQI3

All The Sightings This Week
Evidently, there are many moving pieces at play in potential creative projects for Taylor this week. Some feel that the star’s butterfly signals that she is okay after the recent news about her personal life. Butterflies are an important symbol in both her debut album, “Taylor Swift”, and “Lover.” The latter is the first album she owned the rights to after her masters were sold to Scooter Braun.
Outside of the pop-star’s quote on butterflies from 2019, some feel that the jeans could also symbolize Swift once again taking back her narrative from the public speculation surrounding her alleged breakup with Alwyn.
I will always sob over the fact Taylor had butterflies as part of the Taylor Swift album aesthetic, her first album, and for Lover, her first owned album
