Live Action Winnie the Pooh Movie Will Make You Cry

  •  Disney has really been making sweet, sweet bank (which is what we call cool, cool money) on its live-action adaptations of its animated classics. They’ve done Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, got a little bit of Lion King coming up soon, and now we have something a little more heartbreaking — Disney’s adaptation of a movie about Winnie the Pooh.  The trailer — for a movie titled Christopher Robin — shows Christopher Robin being strangled by the yoke of capitalism — as he’s forced to choose between his job and his family. My guess is the movie will show this as all a part of growing up, but make no mistake! This is all part of a system that prizes the needs of the corporation above the needs of the individual. Anyway, it’s all okay, because Winnie the Pooh comes, and he’s a stuffed bear, and the official Disney voice of Winnie the Pooh, Jim Cummings, voices him, so look — your eyes will cry, even if the movie will not end with Pooh demanding more worker’s rights for his old, good friend Christopher Robin. My guess is Christopher Robin will quit his job or something to spend more time with his daughter.  What do you think of this live-action Winnie the Pooh adaptation?
