Fans are understandably more than a little excited for the upcoming Captain Marvel film starring Brie Larson. Besides just being Marvel’s first female-led feature, the combination of the Academy Award-winning actress and the role of the tough as nails Kree warrior superhero Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is more than enough cause for celebration. Check out the photos — now circulating all over the finer spaces of the nerd-friendly Internet.

One odd aspect of the costume is, of course, the color scheme. The colors are the blue and green/gray of the male Captain Marvel from Marvel’s history way back when — rather than the insane and striking blue and red created by artist Jamie McKelvie.
