Is Gaten Matarazzo Joining Fall Out Boy on Tour?

  •  Gaten Matarazzo — Dustin Henderson on Netflix’s Stranger Things — is incredibly talented, but you already knew that. Prior to landing a role in a hit Netflix series, Matarazzo was on Broadway starring in musicals such as Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Les Misérables.  But, wait — did I mention he’s also in a band called Work In Progress? Along with Griffin, Matt Grayson, Sabrina Matarazzo, Carmen Matarazzo, and Chad Miller — Dustin and the New Jersey based band have posted a couple covers to social media thus far. The first being a cover of ‘Porch’ by Pearl Jam. You can check it out on the band’s Instagram here.  At a recent show at The Stone Pony in Ashbury Park, New Jersey, the band performed covers of ‘Misery Business’ by Paramore and ‘Sugar, We’re Goin Down’ by Fall Out Boy — but one caught the attention of some pretty special people.  Fall Out Boy themselves.  In an interview with @popbuzz, Patrick Stump and Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy were asked if they were fans of Stranger Things — obviously — and whether or not they had seen Work In Progress’ cover.   •  Just like that, a Fall Out Boy/Work In Progress collaboration was put in the works to which Gaten Matarazzo responded — “@WIPBandOfficial is game if @falloutboy is!!! Thanks for the love!”
