Ted Cruz Gets Schooled by Mark Hamill on Twitter

  •  It’s been an amazing week for Mark Hamill. Not only did he get to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in one of the biggest blockbusters of the decade in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but he got to own one of the biggest most “rights take away happy” dork in all of America — Ted Cruz. See, I don’t know if you heard… but Ajit Pai sucks. Why does he suck you say? Well, as head of the FCC he spearheaded the removal of Net Neutrality protections and even included a dumb video of himself mocking people for being mad at him. Well, Mark Hamill — legendary for playing the honorable Jedi Luke Skywalker — has told him. Hey my bro. You ain’t ready to be no Jedi!

  •  And you know what? Mark Hamill is right! Ajit Pai? A Jedi? No way! Although look — the GOP has to protect their interests, and so they sent out their resident nerd garbage human man, Theodore Cruz (Ted Cruz for you commoners) to try to “smarm-splain,” as Hamill put it to the Senator, that the Jedi would actually support the FCC. Why would the Jedi — an order that fights against fascism — be for the FCC’s overturning of Net Neutrality? I don’t know, we’ll let Ted Cruz bumble his way through an explanation.

  •  Such is the power of fiction that a professional homophobe such as Ted Cruz can watch Star Wars — a movie about a rag tag group of rebels fighting against a fascist organization and see himself as the hero. That the concept of government is inherently bad rather than what it does, and the concept of corproations is inherently good (has anyone uhh.. even talked about corporations in Star Wars?). That is when one of the stars of one of Ted Cruz’s favorite movies told him he hates him.

  •  BOOM. For those of you who missed it, here is a video recreation of Mark Hamill Tweeting at Ted Cruz.
