What is HQ, and Why is Everyone Losing Their Minds Over a Trivia App?
People can’t stop talking about the live trivia app that’s giving away money to players. So here’s the basics! Twice a day on weekdays, HQ broadcasts a live trivia game show that lasts 15 minutes. HQ was created by Colin Kroll and Rus Yusupov who also created Vine. You know Vine — that six second long video streaming site. It appears HQ has bounced back from last week when Yusupov kinda went whacky in response to an interview The Daily Beast did with the game’s popular host Scott Rogowsky. That weirdness aside, the app hasn’t slowed down at all. In fact after the “bad” PR, the show saw upwards of 100,000 players for the first time. That is until people start losing. You have 10 seconds from the time the host reads the question to answer and if you’re wrong, you out. No three strikes, no second chances. If you make it all the way through, you split the prize money with everyone else left at the end of the game. We love it. But what do you think?
