Kendall and Kylie Jenner Apologize For OFFENSIVE T-Shirt Designs

  •  It’s a bizarre and oddly offensive affair as Kendall and Kylie Jenner released a series of t-shirts where their faces were superimposed over those of famous, sometimes deceased, musicians, and selling them for $125. The stars have superimposed their faces over the likes of Pink Floyd, The Doors, Metallica, Led Zeppelin — and most brazenly and offensively, Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

  •  Fans and people with taste were outraged — as was the estate of Biggie Smalls which released a press release stating they had nothing to do with the t-shirts and were never contacted about the using of Biggie Smalls’ likeness. Biggie Smalls’ mother — Violetta Wallace — had an Instagram post in which she expressed her dismay over the clothing line and the disrespect it showed her late son calling it “exploitation at its worst”.

  •  Kendall Jenner has since released an apology for the t-shirts in a Tweet, saying, amongst other things, that it was not their intent to disrespect the artists and the t-shirts have been pulled from the market.

  •  What’s crazy is this is the SECOND TIME Kendall Jenner committed an outrageous act of cultural appropriation this year. Remember that Pepsi ad!? Yeesh!  What do you think of the t-shirt controversy? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
