Anxious Cheetahs Need Support Dogs

  •   Support dogs are the perfect answer to anxiety. I can’t tell you how many of my friends have support dogs at school to help with their anxiety. I mean, dogs are just the greatest and are pure joy. Why wouldn’t people use them as support?  While support dogs are a pretty common thing, I was still pretty blown away when I found out some cheetahs who have anxiety need support dogs. Yes, you read that right, cheetahs need support dogs, and it is a beautiful thing:

  •  People were skeptical about cheetah’s having support dogs so they tweeted Anne Hilborn who studies cheetahs to ask if it’s true:

  •  So, as I would expect, Cheetah’s in the wild do not need support dogs. While it’s sad putting them in a zoo causes a naturally stress-free animal to have anxiety, I am glad these zoos are taking steps to help them feel more comfortable in their new homes.
