Snoop Shoots Clown Trump In Video, Rubio Criticizes
Rap has always spoken truth to power, and often in a way that makes power bristle and those who view it be uncomfortable. It is no different in the latest music video from Snoop Dogg, titled BADBADNOTGOOD where Snoop Dogg shoots a clown dressed up as our very weird President Donald Trump (here President Klump) with a gun with a little flag that says “Bang” on it (a visual borrowed from the popular Batman graphic novel “The Killing Joke”). And the video is having folks are up in arms. Some are outraged at the video, in particular Senator Marco Rubio, the ex presidential hopeful, now a very vocal Trump supporter in government who’s said to TMZ— “We’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that people should be careful about.” When challenged and said that Snoop is responding to the fact that no one seems to be challenging the president, Rubio dodged the question, and returned to his car.

The video seems to be a work of satire, albeit one with edge. Is it an edge we need in a world where the president is seeking unchecked power? Or is art about assassination too far? And what do you think about the song in general? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
