In Wake of Trump’s Election, Californians Want to “Calexit”
One day ago, Trump was losing his Twitter privileges. Today, he’s set to be the 45th President of the United States. Judging from the riots that broke out across the country last night and early this morning, many are incredibly upset with the results of the election. Following the news of Trump’s victory, Californians have been threatening to secede from the rest of the United States in what social media is calling “#calexit.” Though I completely understand the fear that some citizens have for our next President, I can’t deny that some of the #calexit tweets were very entertaining. During these trying times, it wouldn’t hurt to have a laugh. Here are some of Twitter’s best responses to the #calexit movement.

The way things are going right now, it’s definitely going to take awhile for our new reality to sink in. Is this goodbye, California? We’ll have to wait and see! How are you feeling about the election? Do you think Californians are serious about #calexit? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter.
