Bill Murray Gave a Random Cubs Fan a Free World Series Ticket

Bill Murray continues to amaze us. First he won his Mark Twain Prize for Humor at the same time the Cubs went to the World Series. Then, he sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” as Daffy Duck. And now, he’s given a Cubs fan a ticket next to him for Game 6. Seriously, I know who I’m voting for when I’m not scared of Donald Trump. Bill Murray/Andie MacDowell 2020, baby. Their platform? Make America Great (Again and Again and Again). Random acts of generosity and an obsession with large rodents. Groundhogs and gophers rejoice.
According to Fox Sports, the fan Bill Murray gave a ticket to, Karen Michel, was at Progressive Field in Cleveland looking for a ticket. She was out of luck — until she spotted Bill Murray. She says the encounter went like this: “He turns around and says, ‘here, here’s a ticket.’ He kind of shuttled me into the door. I thought it was just a ticket to get in. But it was a ticket to sit right here.” By “right here,” Michel meant “in the box section closest to home field.” Michel got to watch the Cubs play their best game of the World Series so far next to Bill Murray. That’s pretty freakin’ cool (as long as you don’t think about the kinda depressing fact that Bill Murray apparently was going to the World Series alone). What do you think?
