Dinosaurs Weren’t Awesome, Says Science

  •  Scientific evidence has found dinosaurs didn’t roar. Naturally, this has upset some dinosaur fans. It turns out the gigantic reptile/bird monsters quacked or cooed. They are related to birds, after all. This comes after finding a voice box, the first from a dinosaur ever discovered. This is the second huge discovery for dinosaurs recently. The first, by Audi, was that dinosaurs could drive cars. According to Nature.com (translated from scientist speak by CBC), the voice box would not have permitted for a thunderous roar. The voice box resembles a larynx, the voice box of a crocodile, or a syrinx, present in modern birds. Birds and non-birds evolved similar strategies to make sound, but birds had a head start. That means a T. Rex was more likely to quack than to shake the Earth with a roar. Scary, right?  Naturally, the internet had their own reaction:
