‘Will and Grace’ Cast Reunites to Remind Everyone Not to Vote Trump

  •  Last week, both traditional movie stars and YouTube creators urged Americans to vote in the upcoming Presidential election. While YouTube’s campaign just urges voting in general, and Joss Whedon’s pleads with voters to stop a certain unnamed candidate described as a “racist, abusive coward,” this video goes all the way with the anti-Trump rhetoric.  Several cast members of Will and Grace, the classic, Emmy-winning sitcom which ran on NBC from 1998-2006, spent the last couple days teasing the possibility of new W&G-related material:

  •  While many outlets (including this one) speculated that this might be a full-blown reunion. With shows like Full House coming back (as Fuller House) and Friends getting a mini-reunion, the idea wasn’t too far-fetched.  Instead, we got this — a video for the incredibly narrow Venn diagram of “people who like Will and Grace” and “people who weren’t sure about voting Clinton.” Presumably there are a few people voting Trump who were also huge fans of a progressive sitcom that broke barriers for same-sex couples on TV, but I think the real purpose of this video is to remind people on the liberal end of the spectrum that their vote matters.  If you’re a Will and Grace fan, this video is sure to scratch an itch you’ve had for the last decade. If you’re a Trump fan, you’re probably mad about the gays telling you what to do. And if you’re a gay Trump fan, you’re probably even more conflicted than you were already. Either way, we’re just glad to see Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, Megan Mullally, and Eric McCormack back in front of a camera together for the first time in ten years.  What do you think? Entertaining minisode of a show you’ve missed for a long time, or part of the eeeeeevil gay agenda? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
