The New Transformers Movie Is Using Churchill’s Home as Hitler’s HQ

Winston Churchill’s home in England will be used as Hitler’s HQ in the next Transformers movie. This, of course, has caused a massive controversy. The story comes courtesy of The Guardian. This has been a strangely newsworthy week for British real estate, after Harry Potter’s house went up for sale. The home, titled Blenheim Palace and located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, was lived in by Churchill and has stayed in his family. The controversy comes because of the conflict between Hitler and Churchill – you may have heard of it — World War Two. Churchill dedicated himself during the war to stopping Hitler, his genocide, and his attempt to take over the world. Many British citizens lost their lives in the war as well. Colonel Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, told the Guardian “it’s symbolically disrespectful to Churchill. He will be turning in his grave.” Tony Hayes, from Veterans Association UK, said surviving men and women who fought in World War II would be “appalled”. Churchill is buried a mile away in Blandon. The house, which is open to the public, will be draped in swastika flags and actors wearing SS costumes will be walking around the grounds. What do you think?
