  •  Did you think the Colin Kaepernick/national anthem controversy was going away any time soon? I mean, it’s been two weeks, right? Wrong. This story just keeps growing and growing.  The latest development is a bunch of First Amendment-hating, Second Amendment-loving hypocritical mega-tools getting #BoycottNFL to trend on Twitter. Some are hate-filled, some pretend that they’re staging a legitimate protest, but all are butthurt whiny nothing people who can’t handle a dude sitting down and exercising his right to free speech. (Sitting has really become a potent political weapon, hasn’t it?)  Here are just a few of their tweets:

  •  Yeesh. Thankfully, as soon as #BoycottNFL reached the rest of Twitter, sane people were quick to point out the hypocrisy of boycotting the NFL for something as inconsequential as this — instead of its many horrific scandals in recent years. The retribution (or “clapback,” if you’re one of those hip young kids) was swift and fierce. Here are a few of our favorites:

  •  Our feelings about it, like our feelings about most things, can best be summed up with a James Harden meme:
