  •  Industrial Light and Magic, the visual effects studio founded by George Lucas best known for working on Star Wars since the first film, has released a video showing how much work it took to create the effects for Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens. (For a quick recap on Episode VII, check this out.)  The studio, which was acquired as part of Lucasfilm by Disney, has helped create Disney movies both before and since The Force Awakens. They worked on Marvel’s Avengers, Captain America: Civil War, and more. Now, they’ve released their latest video in their series of behind-the-scenes looks at CGI creation.  In the video, ILM showcase their work in re-creating memorable Star Wars objects like the Millennium Falcon, as well as creating new characters and parts of the Star Wars universe, like the Starkiller Base and Rey’s home world of Jakku. The video also shows some of the practical effects used in the making of the film.  What do you think? Do you want to see more of how movies today are created?
